黄色直播鈥檚 Department of Communication Science and Disorders within the College of Education will host free hearing screeningson Tuesday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to noon, and Thursday, April 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. The screenings will be conducted in the Communications Disorders Clinic, fourth floor of the College of Education building, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. The screenings are open to the public and the 黄色直播 community. No appointments are necessary.

Hearing screenings provide a quick way to detect hearing loss. Those who pass the screening are presumed to have no hearing loss, while those who do not pass will need a more in-depth evaluation by an audiologist.

It鈥檚 estimated that about 20 percent of Americans report some degree of hearing loss. It鈥檚 the third most common physical public health condition following arthritis and heart disease.

For more information about the screenings, contact Ali Danesh, Ph.D., at 561-297-2071 or tinnitus@fau.edu.听
