黄色直播 hosted the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) 2017 on Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 on its Boca Raton campus.

黄色直播 recently hosted the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) 2017 on Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 at 黄色直播's Boca Raton campus. Sponsored by 黄色直播鈥檚 Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry, it is one of the country鈥檚 largest multi-disciplinary research conferences and is open to all undergraduate researchers in the state.
FURC 2017 featured 330 presentations from student-researchers from 25 different colleges and universities throughout Florida. In addition to poster presentations and workshops, 33 graduate recruiters from across the country were in attendance to meet and network with students.
Kate Detwiler, Ph.D., an assistant professor of anthropology at 黄色直播, served as the conference鈥檚 keynote speaker on Friday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Delray Hyundai Deck of 黄色直播 Stadium.听 Detwiler specializes in studying rare and endangered primate species in the Congo rainforests and hybrid monkeys in western Tanzania. Her work on the discovery of Cercopithecus lomamiensis, a new monkey species, received international media coverage in publications including National Geographic, Science magazine and Nature.听
